Marble Furnishings and Bronze Tabernacle
The restoration project of Santa Maria delle Grazie Church in Torre dei Passeri (PE) included the presbyterial rearrangement aimed at conveying a contemporary expression with references to classical art. The altar and the ambo in their linear simplicity are embellished with elements that clearly reflect the classic moldings and decorations made in bas-relief. On the altar, the lamb of the Johannine Revelation sits a book with the seven seals. On the ambo, the symbols of the four evangelists can be seen alongside this inscription "IN THE BEGINNING IT WAS THE VERB". The priest chair stands out not for its grandness but instead for its simplicity. For the tabernacle, a decision was made to keep the original position enhancing it with a new marble surface that acts as a stylistic link with the furnishings and the painting above.
